Shreveport Photography..Burning and Dodging

for me…
the joy to be able to capture something
just for me…
for no real purpose
except because I see the beauty in it….
This shot made me miss the smell of darkroom chemicals. I loved watching the effects of burning and dogding in the film lab. I was mesmerized watching things appear and disappear with more or less light….
 so this image… 
is just for me.
To remind me..that even though photography has changed
…it is still about captured light. 
And what you do with that light…. that is where the art begins.

I LOVE this kid!!! (well and his mom and grandmother pretty much rock also!) Thomas and I had a most fabulous time at Bickham Dickson Park in Shreveport for his portrait session. We played with the barn and the clover, Sonic Ice, and bubbles…. what an amazing morning!
