Baby Jay… 5 Weeks Old

I had a fabulous newborn photography session this morning! My dear friend, Lisa, and Big Baby Jay crossed the river and came to the Bossier studio. HE IS a BIGGGG baby!! I tried my best to push and shove him into all my baskets and bowls… If Lisa could have photographed ME trying to use my normal newborn photography props on him… they would be a hoot! Jay was a trooper though…he sleep through most of it! What a joy he is to Lisa, Jason, Rachel and Sarah Beth….  Congratulations!

The Lollar Family

What a breath of fresh air! I love photographing families in January…everyone seems SO relaxed. This particular group was just well formed. Everyone meshed so well together. Thanks gang for hanging out with me. And Happy Late Birthday to Ainsley…..

How To Style Your Little Guy

I know from experience that little boys don’t want to get dressed up and stand around…. they want to play, and this outfit certainly reflects that. Layer a lightly patterned oxford with a knit vest and a nice warm (and adorable!) jacket with a cool wooly collar. Add jeans and some converse sneaks and you have the perfect outfit for romping around outside and being a boy. This look was mostly pulled from Gap, except for the blue vest which is from The Children’s Place.

Alternatively, I’d love to see the jeans and sneakers with a white tee and blazer and maybe a loose tie in some shots for a bit of punch. The options are endless, and in individual portraits I love when the outfit has an unexpected quirk :)
