The W Family…Shreveport Bossier Maternity Photography

I love these.

I love this family.

I love this kid.

and I can’t want to love the next kid too….

So… we were creating this mysterious, dreamlike, wonderland of wonderfulness maternity shot with D… we had Dad to the left holding some fabric, sun streaming in through all the windows….it was magic. Like time was standing still. In those moments I prayed for this new baby and this sweet mama. She was gorgeous…just like God had intended expecting moms to look. Her eyes seem to dance with silent joy when she looked down at the new life… the studio was quiet…it was peaceful and amazing….

yep.Right about then…sweet Carter jumped into the shot to play peek-a-boo! And even though  the shot wasn’t what KRISTIN MOSURA had directed it to be…. wow..did he MAKE the shot or what. THIS shot…is my favorite. It is real. It is a mother’s everyday joy and chaos! :) I am so thankful God placed me there at that time to capture this “real life” moment.

Newborn Photography Tips …. and Baby Holt!

Just a teaser…. sweet baby Holt was INCREDIBLE! He slept through everything and allowed me to try all my newborn portrait poses! There will be many more of Holts sneak peaks soon….stay tuned!

Newborn Photography Tips:

1. Your newborn would be photographed during the first two weeks of their life. Kristin Mosura Photography is willing to photograph newborns in their home or in the Bossier City Studio.

2. Cloth your newborn in an outfit that does not use elastic on waist, wrists, or ankles. No socks too! One of the best photography tips I have for new moms and new photographers is to have the newborn arrive with just diaper on….but heavily swaddled with blankets over them in their car seat. This tip will allow the transition for the photographer and the baby to happen more smoothly. The baby may even stay asleep after the car ride to the photography studio.

3. Through the newborn’s schedule out the window! Let that day be a day of no rules. If the baby fusses during the session… nurse him for a few minutes or let them have a small portion of a bottle. All the activity during the photography session may over stimulate the baby and they use their sucking and feeding habits as a way to calm themselves. Tuck a spare pacifier in your Mommy Bag too… even if you think they don’t like it yet.

Welcome back! Spring Portraits!!

Well welcome back to me that is! I am dedicated to more  frequent blogging!  Did you know that at the bottom of this blog page, there is a place to sign up for RSS feeds? That would allow you to choose to receive updates from my blog via outlook, bookmarks on your Internet browser bar, and other ways. It is a GREAT way to not miss out on Kristin Mosura blog posts! If you are also on Facebook… become my friend! You will get to see client sneak peeks and possibly be tagged with some of YOUR images from the past.  So far 2009 has been amazing!  March and April are filling quickly…

March: There are a few weekday session times still available. All March weekends have been filled. I have 3 weekday evening times still available for late March. Please call asap if you want to see about  March availability.

April: Only two weekend sessions still available in April. Sundays have been completely filled. One Friday evening still open. CADDO AND BOSSIER SPRING BREAK: There are a few session still available for Monday April 13th, Tuesday April 14th and Wednesday April 15th. Mother’s Day is May 10th… these prints could be available to be given for gifts.

Gift Certificates: Mother’s Day  and Baby Plan Gift Certicates are available also. This would be great to give to your parents to use when all their grown children are home at the same time.
Ok! So you are all caught up on the Spring Happenings! Now I need to add an image of SOMETHING for eye candy……

JUMPING JUPITER! I think we have some CUTE kids!

Jumping for JOY!!!! This session was a HIT!  Tyler, Kasey, Chloe, and Dawson were incredible! Thank you to these Mamas for  GREAT outfits too! Just a sneek peek for my peeps Chloe and Kasey… I told them they would be BLOG DIVAS!!!!

Defatta Duo!

Precious Cooper and Addison…..

Cooper was a treat! I loved just chatting away with him… he LOVES to talk :) Addison is simply breathtaking. Her eyes held me captive- the BONNET…. was icing on the cake!
